Sunday... We had a nice Sunday. We went to see How To Eat Fried Worms and laughed our butts off. I don't know what was better... the movie or watching the girls squirm in their seats during the gross worm parts. They both really liked it and laughed out loud through the whole movie. Troy picked a new watermelon today. We haven't cut it open yet but hopefully it will be a good one! The girls look so proud!

We have been having big time problems getting Allison to sleep in her own bed. She has been sleeping in our room for months now. Last night I finally had enough and told her it was time to be a big girl and get in her own bed. She says she is scared to sleep in there. She did pretty good going to bed last night but apparently she woke up very early and went into Anne's room. Anne said it was still dark when she came in. Anne said Allison played in there for a while and finally Anne got up with her and they watched the sun come up out in the living room. Troy and I never heard a thing! YIKES! Well tonight Allison really pitched a fit about going to bed. She cried and cried that she was scared and wanted her Annie. So even though I shouldn't have, I caved in and let her go sleep with Anne. Anne was already asleep but I went in and asked if it would be okay for Allison to come in her bed. She mumbled "Sure" and moved over, pulled back the covers, and pulled Allison in. Allison was asleep within minutes. It almost makes me cry to watch them like that. I still vividly remember being scared or unable to fall asleep and going in to sleep with Kim. She always let me in too! :)

Allison... Sometimes I wonder how on earth I'm going to survive the next 14 minutes with you, much less the next 14 years. This kid makes us completely crazy. But oh my gosh, she is so damn funny. Like really really funny. Today she got all ticked off at me when I told her she couldn't do something (I don't remember exactly what it was but I'm sure it was something totally insane)and she said "I WANT TO GET A NEW MOMMY!" So I said "Sure, we will go to the store and see if we can find you a new one somewhere". Without even a moment of hesitation, she said "Well okay but actually we need to wait until you make my lunch". Seriously. She drives me crazy.

Oh yes, and notice her new short hair cut? She decided to chop off a chunk of hair right in the front while she was cutting out her Dora paper. She said it just seemed like a good idea.

Why can't she just stay like this? She is so darn sweet when she is sleeping.

More proof. Check out the face she gives right at the end. Troy says she gets that face from her cousin Chelsea. LOL
Allison being a stinker

Off to school... She is a first grader! Yikes! The morning went pretty well. She was pretty slow moving this morning and wasn't too excited but we got off okay. She had a few tears while we were waiting to go into her classroom but she held it together and wasn't crying when I left. My stomach has been in knots all day. I hope she had a good day. Only 30 more minutes and I can go pick her up.

Questions you can never prepare yourself for... "Mom, what if nobody wants to be friends with me at school tomorrow?" I could honestly feel my heart breaking in two. Have a wonderful day in first grade tomorrow Anne. I will be thinking of you all day.

Allison's latest obsession... Allison wants to be Shaggy. She actually went into her closet and dresser and found this outfit. She lives in it. She hates when I have to wash it and asks me over and over again if it's dry yet.

The REAL Shaggy.

She likes to pair it with her favorite hot pink boots when we go out. We get some crazy looks when we are out in public.

Now she even has to sleep in it. She is such a nut!

Happy Birthday Melissa... We were so happy to be able to celebrate Melissa's birthday with her this year! It was so good to see Melissa and Luke again!

Playing in the pool...
We spent most of the weekend in Gammer's pool. Saturday's weather was kind of cloudy and gray but Sunday was a nice sunny day. The girls had a great time playing with Melissa and Luke.

Allison isn't too fond of Bumpa's beard!

Watching from Chelsea's lap.

Enjoying lunch poolside! Going to Gammer's is like going to a resort!

Uncle Troy threw Sam so high that I cut off her head! I don't think I realized just how high they were going until I saw the pictures! No wonder Gammer couldn't watch!

Liddy and Rudy... Rudy loves trips to Atlanta as much as we do! Even though you can't really tell from the pictures, they just love each other and have a great time playing together! I don't think either of them moved for 8 hours after playing all day.
