A-cubed-and-T: August 2007

7 going on 17... Anne went to a birthday party at Libby Lou's today. She had a such a great time. It was a small group of good girl friends and they just loved getting all dressed up and putting on a show. There was a whole lot of attitude flying around that place while they were there! They all thought they were hot stuff but they looked so darn cute!

We went to lunch after the party. They thought they were pretty cool being out with their cool hair and make up!

After lunch we headed over to Cameron and Dylan's party at Pump It Up! They had a great time but all that jumping took a toll on the hair!

So far so good... Today was day 4 and so far she is doing really well. She likes her teacher and seeing all of her friends. We haven't had any tears in the morning so that is a huge step for us this year! I hope she continues to like it so much!

Allison has been trying to keep busy. She was really crying when Anne left for school yesterday. She wants to go with her so badly! So we are trying to do fun things to pass the time.

We met Aunt Traci, Holly, and Brooke yesterday to play and have lunch.

She is finally home! Allison wants to play outside with her.

First day of school... Anne started second grade today. I still can't believe it. She was already awake in bed when I went in to get her up at 7:00 am. She was excited but I could tell she was starting to get nervous this morning. We made it out of the house and to her classroom with only 6 trips to the potty. She teared up a little when I left but did really good and said she has a good day. She really likes her teacher and one of her best friends from first grade is in her class again so that helps a lot! I'm hoping tomorrow goes just as well!

Allison is sad that Anne has gone off to school and she hasn't. She must have asked me 10 times when she gets to go. She doesn't start Pre-K until after Labor Day. She is very excited about it. So we tried to keep busy today to pass the time. She had a doctor's appointment in the morning and then she got her haircut. Then she wanted to come home and play Beauty Salon with me! Where is Anne when I need her???

Bubbles... Anne used some of her birthday money to get this big bubble maker! They had fun running all over the yard with it.

Anne climbing the rope at gymnastics! She is so proud of herself because she is the only one in her class that can make it up to the ceiling. I think she has arms of steel.

Weekend at Gammer's... The girls wanted to spend one more weekend at Gammer and Bumpa's house before they went back to school. Everyone had a good time playing, swimming, and sweating! It was soooo hot. We went to see The Wizard of Oz at The Fox and Saturday night and everyone loved it!
