Getting ready for Halloween... I can't believe Halloween is almost here! They both have their costumes ready to go and are so excited to go trick or treating. Anne is going to be a pirate and Allison is going to be a cheerleader. We went to the pumpkin patch tonight so Anne could pick out her pumpkin for the school contest. They have to write a story about their pumpkin and decorate it to match the story. Her story is about a pumpkin named Jessica that gets lost in a scary bat cave. I can't wait to see how it turns out!

She gets prettier and more grown up with every passing day! I'm going to blink and she will be 13 years old.

Me: Allison, look at my camera.
Allison: I AM!
Me: No you aren't. Your head is turned towards me but your eyes are looking over there.
Allison: NO THEY AREN'T!
Me: Allison, LOOK AT ME!
Allison: I AM!!!!!!!!!!!!
Me: whatever...

Posing outside in the yard. Anne is so funny about getting ready now. She always runs and brushes her hair before we leave. She puts on a headband or something. She usually has on at least one piece of jewelry and her shades. She thinks she is too cool for school.

Being scary mummies!

My poor boy... Rudy started doing this really strange choking thing on Wednesday morning. I couldn't figure out what was wrong with him. He was eating okay, acting pretty much okay, and not throwing up but he was constantly gagging like he had something stuck in his throat. So Troy took him to the vet that afternoon and it turns out he has kennel cough. That gagging stuff is how dogs cough! Who knew! I'll spare you the video I took of him hacking up a lung. I wanted to get it on video in case he didn't do it while he was at the doctor. He has been vaccinated for it but they said it isn't 100% effective against the disease but should help with the severity of the symptoms. They are guessing that he picked it up at the dog park since we were there just 2 weeks ago which is about how long it takes to develop symptoms after exposure. They put him on antibiotics and told us to have him take it easy for a few weeks. I can already tell he is getting better and I'm hoping he will be good as new by next week! He is such a sweet boy. I hate to see him not feeling well. We all love him so much.

And here is one of me. I chopped my hair off last week and darkened the color a bit. I took a chance and went to a new girl here in town. Those hair trips to Atlanta were just to hard to make. Five minutes down the road sure beats 5 hours to Atlanta. I like it okay. I do miss my ponytail by the end of the day though!

This is what Allison thinks of the Red Hots...

Granddaddy Keith and his girls! Thanks for coming out to watch her Granddaddy. She loves that you are there to see her play!

Holly's 5th Birthday... Everyone had a great time celebrating Holly's birthday at My Gym! It was the perfect place for a party! Happy Birthday Holly! We love you!

Anne at bat... The Red Hots played another great game last night! They lost by one run but they did a great job and worked so well together as a team. Anne hit really well and had two good plays on second base. She was so proud of herself! She is becoming more confident and is improving each week. Granddaddy Keith was there and she was so excited that he could watch her play! Thanks Granddaddy!

She has been wanting her helmet painted since last season. We went and had it done over the weekend! She really likes it.

View from the back. She wants us to take it back and have them add "Eggs & Toast" since that is what her coach calls her.

Ready for action at second base.

Fun at the Hoe Down... Allison's Daisy Troop went to the Girl Scout's Hoe Down last weekend and she had a great time. Well, until she didn't win one of the raffle prizes at the end of the night...we left with her in tears. But up until then, it was a good time. The girls had fun dressing up in their country best and dancing all night.

By the end of the night, Allison went from cow girl to gangster girl. She is such a nut!

Let's Go Red Hots... Fall ball has started back up this month! Anne had her first game Wednesday night. The game was against our biggest rivals, The Mustangs, who we really like to beat. We have a long history with this team and the girls were really pumped up to win. Most of our games are all fun and easy going but not against this team. The girls played their little hearts out and worked so well as a team. It was so exciting to watch them WIN! Troy said it was more stressful than watching a Jaguar football game! Everyone was on the edge of their seats and I cheered so loud that I had almost lost my voice. Anne aka Eggs and Toast (that is what her coach calls her...long story) had a great game! She had great hits all night and had a good play out in the field too. This is their first season moving up to the pitching machine so they were a little nervous about that but every girl hit every inning! It was unbelievable! GO RED HOTS!

Waiting for her turn at bat!

Loaded up!

Determined to hit it!

It's a hit!

Leading off first base.

A quick picture for mom!

Anne and one of her best friends Danielle aka Wheels!

Lining up to slap hands! It was a sweet victory for the girls!

And just a cute one of Punker. She wanted to wear her cowgirl hat to the game last night!
