Baby steps... Allison was still sure she had forgotten how to swim and didn't even really want to get in on Friday. So Saturday morning, Troy braved the freezing water and got in with her to get her going again. It took about a half hour of slowly getting back under the water and within an hour, she back to doing cannonballs and swimming across the pool. Thank Goodness! I had visions of a miserable summer because she wouldn't step foot in the water!

Jumping to Daddy first.

Jumping by herself!

Swimming under water!

WOO HOO! She was so happy!

Daddy's shoulders will be killing him tomorrow.

Anne got in on the fun too.

Anne was so happy she finally got over it too because playing in the pool by yourself is only fun for so long!

This blimp drove Rudy INSANE. He would not stop barking at it. I finally just had to put him in the house until it went away.

Anne had a double header tournament Saturday afternoon with her Explosion team. It's an advanced team made up of girls from the three rec ball teams at the park. There are some really great players on that team! They are amazing to watch. They won both of their games and played so well. Anne played so great in both games and felt really good about it after they were done. She doesn't know all of these girls as well as her Red Hots team and most of them are a year older than her so she was a little nervous about it at first. She has learned so much on this team and really seems to like it.

And here is just a cute one of Anne and her good friend Carlie on the way to school last week. They like to call each other and coordinate their outfits so they match at school. Lord help me!

Happy Easter... We had a nice Easter this year and I hope everyone else did too!

Waking up to search for the eggs and their baskets!

Allison was such a good little egg hunter this year! I finally had to make her stop looking so Anne would be able to find a few too!

She spotted another one!

Woo hoo! Anne found one too! She was getting worried.

She found her basket! Rudy is sniffing to see if there is any candy in it!

The goods!

Anne checking out her basket! That bunny hid Anne's basket pretty darn good. We had to do hot/cold to find it this year.

Keeping the tradition alive! We have to bowl on Easter. Anne brought her paper and pen along so she could keep score...and color when it wasn't her turn.

Troy whooped me this year. That Wii bowling has thrown off my real game! :)

Allison after her spare!

It's a strike!!

WOO HOO!

Then we came home and they wanted to swim. We did turn the heater on for a few hours so it was up to about 79 degrees. But it was breezy and a little chilly outside. There was no way I was getting in!

Anne's first jump! She was pretty much in and out of the pool the rest of the day. We finally had to drag her out of it at 7:45 pm. I was in jeans and a sweatshirt and she was still swimming away.

Allison's first and only jump! Her fun pretty much ended right here. I think it was just too cold for her and when she hit the water, she kind of freaked out and then thought she forgot how to swim. A while later she slipped on the deck and pretty much took the top layer of skin off her left leg from the knee down. So that really put a damper on things too and she spent the rest of the day crabby. Needless to say, she went to bed early.

No Easter would be complete without Bunny Cake!

Snuggling with Granddaddy while they watched Enchanted.

Getting ready for Easter... We have had a good time this weekend with our Easter activities. Both of the girls had parties at school on Thursday and then were off for Good Friday. We had our annual Easter Party with our playgroup and everyone had a really good time. The weather couldn't have been better!

Kicking off the Egg Hunt!

Don't you just love that outfit!

Anne and her good friend Natalie making a craft.

Punker and her craft.

Having fun at the park.

After our egg hunt, we headed out to meet Aunt Traci, Holly, and Brooke at the park! It was such a beautiful day so it was nice being outside. The girls had a great time playing. Anne just adores Brooke and loves to "babysit" whenever she is with her. It's nice for me and Traci because we can sit and chat for hours!

Coloring Eggs!

They had a really good time doing the eggs this year.

The Easter Bunny and the finished eggs!

A weekend with Gammer and Bumpa... Gammer and Bumpa came down for a visit last weekend! We pretty much spent the entire time at the softball field but we all had fun! Anne had a game in the morning with the Red Hots, then it was off to Allison's game with the Lady Bugs, and then to Anne's double header with the advanced ball team she plays on called Explosion. It was a crazy day!

Allison in her new batting helmet! She loves the way it turned out.

GIRL POWER!

She is a good little batter! She hasn't had to use the tee at all.

Anne watching the action.

Looking out at her cheering fans! Gammer yells just as loud at her game as she did when Kim and I played in high school. :)

Anne and her good friend Carlie.

Dad and I got up early the next morning to run in the St. Patty's Day 5K race. It was so hard to get up and go but it was lots of fun once we got going. I don't think I've done a 5K in at least 5 years so I was happy with my time and just wanted to run the whole thing. Bumpa finished under his time too so we were both happy we did it.

I think Anne might be as tall as Gammer by the time we see her again next month! She looks so grown up to me when she stands next to Gammer.

Lunch with Granddaddy... Granddaddy came out to watch both the girls in their first games of the season! We were all hungry, thirsty, and tired from the long morning at the ball park so we enjoyed lunch together afterward at Chili's! Thanks so much for coming out to cheer them on Granddaddy!
