So far, not so good...Well we had 2 days of school last week and both of those went really well. Then that pesky Tropical Storm Fay moved in and we missed the last 3 days of the week. We went back yesterday and the excitement of kindergarten has already worn off. Allison has had 2 pretty tough days this week. She cried quite a bit yesterday and then was really crying this morning when I dropped her off. Poor Anne. She had the job of trying to walk her from the car and into school and had to leave her sitting in her class line while she was still upset. I almost feel worse for Anne because I KNOW how hard that job is. I went up there today to see her for lunch and we had some more tears. She is trying so hard to be my brave girl but she says it's just so hard. She misses me while she is there and she says she has to be there for SO LONG MOM!! If she only knew that she has years and years of this ahead of her. But we are going to try to start out on the right foot tomorrow and hopefully things will go better for her.

Trying to cheer her up before we left this morning.

Here a few from last week during the storm. To hell with wind and rain, we are going out. I can't take 3 days of being stuck in the house. So it was basically 3 days of playdates with a bunch of rain.

By Thursday it started to get pretty nasty. Luckily our neighborhood never lost power though.

We did a lot of Guitar Hero to pass the time.

Carlie and Parker spent the day with us too. We lost a tree on the side of the house. They just had to run out there in the rain to check it out.

This is what our pond should normally look like.

The girls checking out our overflowing pond. Allison said "Uncle Randyhead should bring his boat here!".

It just kept getting higher and higher!

We went downtown over the weekend for dinner. Here is one of the girls in front of the Andrew Jackson statue...for whom Jacksonville is named...

First Day of School...The girls started school this morning! It went pretty well...I only teared up for a minute when I left Allison. She did so great! She didn't cry at all! Anne was less than thrilled about going back to school but she did well too. She has the best 3rd grade teacher which helped a lot. Anne really likes her because she is "so pretty and really nice".

No more sleeping in! Allison popped right out of bed as soon as I woke her up.

Anne needed a little more time.

I had to send Rudy in there to finally get her out of bed.

Frozen waffles...Breakfast of Champions?

All ready to go!

Allison showing off her Camp Rock backpack that she LOVES!

Smiling with Daddy.

Me and my girls.

I still can't believe she is in kindergarten.

Smiling with her friend from preschool. She really got lucky. Even with 11 kindergarten classes, she has 3 good friends from preschool in her class. That made things so much easier. She towers over the kids in her class. She got her Daddy's height.

With her good friend from preschool!

Anne walked down to Allison's class with us to make sure she was all settled in.

Anne and her buddies Carlie and Kenzie.

Anne and Sarah. This is the third year they have been in the same class together! They were so happy!

Our Girls Back to School Breakfast! We have missed our breakfast meetings over the summer!

I treated them to an Icee after their first day! They both said they had a good day and seemed to like their teachers. Allison was SO HAPPY she didn't have any homework. She has been nervous about that all summer. I hope it goes well again tomorrow!

Ramstein Reunion... Traci, Kim, and I went to the Ramstein Reunion in Dallas last weekend and had an absolute blast. It was like we never left high school! :) Lots of laughs, dancing, drinking, and late, late, late nights. We can't wait for the next one!
