Our 24 hour pet turtle... Troy found this little guy yesterday while he was cleaning out the pool baskets. He was kind of cute and the girls got a kick out of him so we thought maybe we would hang on to him for awhile. Troy and the girls went out and bought him a nice little aquarium and some turtle food and got him all set up in his new house. I watched him ram himself into the glass for a few hours and my heart just couldn't take anymore. He was either ramming into the glass or sitting on the rocks looking all pissed off. Like he looks here. Look how ticked off he seems. He doesn't seem too happy in his new house.

So we all talked about it and decided it would be best to let him go back to the scummy pond in the back yard. The girls were sad to see him go but they knew he had a mom and dad that were probably really missing him.

He sat there for a few minutes and then came out of his shell and went off into the water. Hopefully something hasn't eaten him already.
