Anne's homerun...I promised Anne I would get this on here tonight so Gammer, Bumpa, and Granddaddy could see her big homerun at tonight's game! She was so incredibly proud of herself and we were proud of her too. I just happened to catch the whole thing on video. I haven't taken one picture or video of her team so far this season and just happened to pull out my camera as she was walking up to bat. She got up there and whacked that ball and once she rounded first base, she realized she could make a homerun and just ran her heart out. As she came back to the dug out, her team was cheering and hugging her and chanting "Eggs and Toast, Eggs and Toast" (her nickame on the team for the past few years). It was so awesome. I walked into the dugout to congratulate her and she literally fell into my arms and just started crying her eyes out. She was so happy and so emotional. Of course, I was bawling my eyes out too. She also played really well out in the field and the team came from behind and won the game! It was such an exciting night!
My girl! She was beaming!

Anne and Coach Matt. He is one of the assistant coaches and has been working with Anne on her batting. He has always said she would be a homerun hitter once she got everything down. If you watch the video, as she crosses home plate, you can see him come running from 1st base, swinging his arms like a little kid. He was so excited for her. He came up to talk to me after the game and he got all choked up talking about it. It was so sweet. He loves this team and this game so much. He was born to coach.

Coach Sam giving the girls a pep talk after their big win. He was so proud of his Red Hots!! We are so lucky she is on a team with such awesome coaches.

Here is a cute one of Allison and her buddy Jackson. They were covered in dirt!

Allison and her buddy Megan trying to keep warm. It was FREEZING out there tonight!

Just a cute one of Punker being a punk.
